I am a School Counsellor (retraining) in Hay, NSW. I have been a teacher since 2004 with experience in primary and secondary settings in ICT, Mathematics and History.
Public education is the only system by which governments can guarantee that every child can reach their potential, have the skills to gain meaningful employment and be constructive members of society. It is a democratic institution, created and controlled by Australia's citizens. It ensures the continued health of democracy by educating each child "side by side".
As part of my teaching I have also worked for the NSW Teachers Federation relieving as a city organiser, country organiser and project officer. I am currently the Councillor for Hay, Balranald and Tooleybuc Teachers Associations.
